Saudi Gazette: Ministry of Communications and IT Launches ‘Digital Readiness Program’ to Drive AI Skills  

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has launched the ‘Digital Future Readiness Program’, in partnership with the Human Capacity Development Program (HCDP), in Saudia Arabia. It marks a significant step toward developing 21st-century skills among Saudi nationals, equipping them to compete on a global stage, particularly in the rapidly evolving AI sector. The program is set to benefit over 7,000 national cadre.

ZAWYA: Saudi Arabia’s Digital Experience Maturity Index 2024 surges to 85% 

The index included the evaluation of 39 digital platforms according to four main perspectives that cover 20 themes. These perspectives included: measuring beneficiary satisfaction through the participation of more than 175,000 beneficiaries, in addition to evaluating the user experience, and the platforms’ mechanisms for dealing with their beneficiaries’ complaints.

Arab News: Saudi Arabia Launches Digital Platform to Boost Entertainment Sector Growth 

Launched by the General Entertainment Authority, the initiative is available through the Saudi Business Center’s digital platform. The platform aims to streamline processes for entrepreneurs and companies, boosting business activity and investment in the sector. The first phase focuses on critical services, including licenses for facilities, talent management, and crowd management certifications that will help businesses operate efficiently and adapt to the Kingdom’s evolving entertainment landscape.

Datacenter Dynamics: Oracle Delivers Second Saudi Arabian Public Cloud Region 

The move is part of Oracle’s planned $1.5 billion investment in the Kingdom and is the company’s fifth cloud region in the Middle East. Located in Riyadh, the public cloud region is hosted in a Center3 data center and will give organizations access to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services, including data, analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI).

The Research, Development, and Innovation Authority (RDIA) has teamed up with the National Academy for Industry to equip participants with in-depth knowledge of semiconductor design, enabling them to contribute directly to electronic chip design projects and align their expertise with market needs. The program aims to localize chip design and empower national talent to join companies within the National Semiconductor Hub.
